I went to this as its only 2 stops on the tube for me.

They had a few good stands there, but none of the food was really standout, pulled pork was okay, didn't think the wings were brilliant from the stall I bought from anyway.

I guess I was expecting what I would deem bbq, instead there was lots of mexican food, paella stands etc. I was hoping to see Ribs, Brisket etc.

I didn't bother with any of the demonstrations as the weather was hot and wanted to find a nice pub for beer and a relax.

I did investigate the charcoal being used (I posted on another thread) as it looked excellent, it was supplied to all stalls by Big K. I did get a bottle of organic gine though, very nice ?

Funny, I was just watching an old program from my Sky Box, according to the Andy Bates advert, it,s smoking, grilling, low and slow smoking and all types of BBQ, lots of demonstrations. At least you'll have found a pub around there, not cheap nor necessarily good, but still a pub.

The demonstration when I got there was some SA woman talking about how men say they do the cooking at bbq but the women all the prep etc. She never even had a grill so not sure what she was going to demonstrate.

I didn't see any of the stalls doing demos or giving advice, just interested in selling their food. Maybe it picked up in the evening.

Beer was good though !

She wasn't going about this was she?

Routine..
1) The woman buys the food.
2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the side dishes, and makes dessert.
3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill – beer in hand.
Here comes the important part:
4) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.
More routine….
5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals with the situation.
Important again:
7) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.
More routine…..
8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces and brings them to the table.
9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
And most important of all:
10) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.

11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed “her night off.” And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there’s just no pleasing some women
;)
