WSM airtight

Does anyone have advice on the best way to add a seal the side door on a wsm? I was thinking of putting a bead of heat res silicone around it so when I lock it in place it hopefully creates a good seal.

The WSM doesn't need to be air tight, but if you feel you must, use a nomex gasket to fill the gap.

Cheers, I'm only making airtight as I'm going to use the the QI 120 and have read that it works best if the whole thing is airtight. :D

i use a stoker with both of my wsm's and i've never felt the need to seal up any gaps, you just need to close up the top vent 3/4 of the way closed and let it do it's thing.
