Okay, but as always buyer beware. A good quality damascus forged knife will set you back upwards from 4-6 times that much for a small knife. Get to one of the Good Food shows and have a looky at what they show there are always 3 or 4 different brands and then check the prices. Or pop into a quality kitchen shop and try their selection (then search for a cheaper stockist

). Personally I would never again buy a knife without trying it to see how it fits in my hand. I have a Furi carving knife, the edge is fantastic as is the balance, BUT, the "patented micro-groove" system on the handle is a joke it does not stop your hand from slipping. Granted not so important on a carving knife but it is a factor to take into account.
