Hi all think my 1st smoker session will be a massive fail, not sure if it is me or the smoker I brought.
Should of researched a bit more before I got the Lannmann kentucky smoker, did a good BBQ during the week but don't seem to reach a good heat using it as a smoker

Agonised before posting this as never want to wee on another mans coals, as it were. I had the landmann Tennessee smoker and frankly it was a tinfoil tabernacle with more leaks than the welsh and steel so thin you could see through it, even though I am blind.......

So this may be your problem, other chaps have sealed leaks and have had success, if it works for you as an barrel BBQ then this is its forte, you can lo and slow on it but it takes much fettling and attention, I scrapped mine after half a dozen attempts....Sorry chum, wish I could offer better news.....

cheers had started to assume it was the BBQ as could see smoke escaping from everywhere, wasn't able to get temp above 120.
May attempt at fixing some of the leaks.

I feel for you i do. you buy in good faith do everthing right and...... bugger its a nightmare. i got a Q that im going to sling with imense pleasure intp a skip!!! buy cheap buy twice
