Shropcestershire says Hi

Hi Guys

The spark that lit my fire was in 2002 when I bought a book called 'BBQ America' by Rick Browne, some of you may have a copy?
It took until spring 2004 before I bought a WSM 'Bullet' and a Weber kettle grill. I joined the 'virtual weber bullet' forum and hammered out BBQ for about 3 or 4 years, cooking outside at least five times a week. I have even cooked BBQ on Christmas day! :D but not anymore, probably a couple of times a month now :(
I'm lucky though because 'she who must be obeyed' loves BBQ and she would encourage me to get back into my old ways, and who knows, this might be the year. I used to make my own rubs, sauces, marinades and mops but I've got lazy now since there is more available to buy in this country.
I also grow chillies, mostly the kind that are weapons grade and stoopidly I have to buy in the Jalapenos for my ABTs/Poppers.

Anyhow, that's enough about me for now, is there anyone else on the forum out here in Shropshire?

All the best,

Lee

Hello Lee, good to hear you found us and you've got lots of years under your belt. Not sure about people on here from shropshire but there's a fair mix from all over the UK. Look forward to seeing your food posts

Thanks, I spent a long time wanting one and pulled the trigger just before Easter, I'm so glad I did it's everything I hoped it would be and more, I loved my WSM though in the right hands it's a great bit of kit

Nice to see another Shropshire lad on the forum. I live just over the border in Cheshire now but was born and bred in Shropshire?

Where are you getting your jalapeƱos from?

Welcome on board.

If you ever need anyone to dispose of weapons grade chilli peppers then I am fully qualified in reprocessing and disposal ;)
