Yes, its Sept 17th, in England - probably dont get too many new members at this time in the season???
I've currently got a Weber One Touch kettle and like it a lot. Lit is a bit dented though and doesnt form such a great seal any more
Thinking of going Gas for number of reasons, which may be preconceptions...
1) Less / Quicker Cleaning
2) Most Coal I seem to be able to find is rubbish easy light stuff that makes the kettle tar-y.
3) Speed of cooking. - I like the idea of just firing it up and haveing a quick bit of al-fresco dinner. I've got a toddler and a baby and most of my time is spent herding them, so not too much time to focus on the cooking
4) actually, that probs about it.
I previously was coal all the way, but it takes a little while to get going, and its a nightmare to clean. Nice smokey taste though.
In terms of BBQing, I enjoy it, but would consider myself a keen novice. Not branched out much more than a few bangers, Kebabs and burgers. Would like to change that and branch out a bit. I believe Oily fish can be rerally good and i've had really good steak and belly pork etc at other peoples BBQ's.
Anyways, I've got another post in the "Help" section that I'd appreciate some more guidance on as I'm searching for a good quality Gas BBQ - at a reasonable price.
Will have a filck through the reciepies section soon!
