Hi All, did search for this topic but found nothing.
Has anyone used the weber long burn briquettes. 240 mins I think it said on the bag. Just wondering if they are worth it. Thanks.

I've used them, very good briqs that burn for a decent time (240 minutes is probably pushing it) and keep temps stable.

I use them a lot both for grilling and on low and slow cooks. They do stay lit for the 4 hours stated but obviously lose temperature over that time. I normally figure getting around 2-3 hours at a decent temp out of them. They do leave quite a lot of yellow ash, they also have a distinctive smell when lighting them. I've never found them to taint the food though

We definitely use them for low and slow. 2 chimneys of unlit and half a chimney of lit in the WSM57 will give me a good 12hr cook. Also use them for grilling, but tend to use Bookers restaurant grade if I have it.

I've never tried Big K briquettes sorry. Have used Big K restaurant grade charcoal and do like using that when doing "dirty" grilling

Same here, never tried Big K.

Well maybe I'll just get both and try them out.
