I can't match that but when Toby set up the WSMs for Harry's course they were on from around tennish and still going strong mid afternoon.

What time of year was this? I find myself burning through a heck of a lot more fuel during autumn/winter

Last Friday I started the coals (minion method) at 8pm-ish, cooked a 5KG pork shoulder (250f with a PartyQ fan setup) through till about 3pm the next day and have about 2/3 chimney of coals left when I cleaned it out yesterday ready for this weekend.

This was not a one off either and in the summer it is even better.

It's a WSM 18.5" by the way (not sure if that makes any difference

I'd be interested to know how they perform without a forced draft. My guess is forced just makes fuel consumption more efficient regardless of type
