Hello all,
I'm planning on building a brick BBQ in my garden. I don't want to use a rubbish kit.... my friends have had a few and the grills contrast long. Any ideas on either getting a grill made up using steel rods, or ideally anywhere I could buy a cast grill?

I'd love to see there custom home BBQ's!

Cheers all

You could use lengths of rebar to support cast iron grates, although I'm not sure where you're gonna find the best deal on the grates themselves, those things are pricey. There's always the option of using expanded metal like you'd find in some vertical smokers, like this - http://www.marcospecialtysteel.com/asse ... -shelf.jpg

I built one using 8mm stainless steel round and flat. Tried to load up a pic for you but it wont let me. Its 1 metre wide x 500mm so its fairly big. I use charcoal and oak blocks on it. Best investment ever. I also have a weber one-touch 57cm.
