Help finding charcoal.....sensible priced....in winter

Postby wozzad » 27 Nov 2013, 19:45

Really struggling to find charcoal near me, tried all the local garden centres and usual places, and only ended up with 1 5kg bag over overpriced big K lumpwood.

based to the west of Edinburgh.

Any advice welcome, I'm planning to bbq my xmas dinner.....Might prove hard without fuel !

Ok, I'm down south, but my local Shell petrol station has charcoal on their forecourt.

If you hae a kebab shop or restaurant near you that uses charcoal, might be worth asking if you can buy some off them.

or you could just buy some on line and get it delivered???

Heat beads, LWP & Big K all ship, or you could find someone with a booker card to check there or look in places like go outdoors as they tend to have charcoal all year round.

I bought some heat beads online - it was before I saw that deal but I've been really impressed with them.

Thanks for the input guys.

I found some on ebay-cheaper than buying it local!

4x5kg Big K briquettes delivered to my door for £24.94

That'll do for now !
