Vents/blanking plates

Postby Frosty615 » 20 Nov 2013, 20:01

Hey,
I'm looking to make a oil drum BBQ/smoker - I have some plans drawn up but need some advice about the vents.
A lot of BBQ's that are available in shops have a round adjustable vent that allows you to adjust airflow.

I'm looking for something similar and have googled quite a bit but can't seem to come up with any positive results.

So the question is - the vents that you have created - what do they look like? Did you bug something or create something...Any links or pictures would be a great help

Thanks in advance

Frosty

Thanks and apologies for the late response - I've googled both but they seem quite odd results...Do you have any pictures?

I was thinking more of something like this:

but I don't really want to spend that sort of cash!!! Is there something else along these lines that anyone knows of?

If you have a look at Simon's facebook pages and website there will be pictures on there. There are also links to photos on this topic.

Ah wonderful, there's a little something to have a look at - a friend of mine is a plumber so I'm pretty sure he'll be able to get me some on the cheap!

Thanks so far for your help!
