suckling pig on the offset smoker

Post by mike.read »

Hi all, has any one had experience with suckling pig? Im looking at about 12kg or so. Does it work . Or should I fabricate a spit from the miscellaneous "equipment" I have laying around.

One of the teams had 1 in grillstock but it was a bit longer than expected so had to bend it a bit to get it on

I have about 40 inches of clear cooking space so hopefully that wouldn't be a problem :D

I had an 18Kg one last year, twice the size I wanted. I had to cut it into two to get it on the Genesis in the end. Couldn't fit it in any of the smokers. Still worked out ok. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
