Newbie in Bradford

Hello
Having spent weeks reading on this site about bbq's, techniques, food, rubs, mops, smoke boxes, chips (wood not potato!) ... I thought it rude not to introduce myself!
I have just taken the plunge and bought a 5-burner Banquet gas bbq. Went for gas due to the size of the gatherings we tend to hold ... just thought gas would accommodate us better!
I have invested in a smoke box and some wood chips so I can get that "authentic smoked bbq taste", alongside a thermometer, some Butt Rub (made the kids laugh!) and The Pitt Cue recipe book... I think you can all guess what I'll be doing this weekend.
As the name suggests, I live in Bradford with 1 x OH, 4 x kids, 1 x cat.
Will keep reading and learning then if you ever pop by I should be able to cook us some proper grub!
Cheers
Richard
