Unlit charcoal and adding more charcoal?

Post by warlock1971 »

Is it better to lay down some unlit charcoal in the bottom and put lit on top or the lit charcoal in first and unlit on top? also when wanting more charcoal adding though the smoking is it better to start it off in the chimney starter before adding or just add unlit? :?:

If you search for Minion Method on YouTube, you'll see a few variations/paterns.
With regards to adding more fuel, if you're low and slow which I presume you are, then add unlit otherwise the pit might get too hot.

Thanks for the advice. Will try that method on my next smoke. First time I've seen it.
