The Big BBQ is a one day summer festival combining BBQ competitions and top-class food with live music and family fun. We have brought together amazing food, drink and stalls from the UK’s best BBQ outlets for you to try across the site while listening to live sets from the best local bands. The Big BBQ is only open to the public on the 23rd June, PitMasters will commence cooking on the 22nd.

Despite TV progs to the contrary there are some really nice parts of Essex, no honest there are

Does anyone know when you are allowed to set up for the big BBQ comp?? are people turning up on the Thurs, Fri, Sat ??
Are there camping facilities??

What do you mean by camping facilities? Currently setup is on the Friday, but happy to hear any suggestions.

Is it more like grillstock or mayhem in may ? As need to sort out the sleeping situation, because I have a wife and two children to think about.
