Anyone looking to meet up I'll be there for 12pm, pm me if you want to catch up. Failing that I'll be wearing a red carnation and carrying a newspaper outside the main bar and food tent in the upper area

Just got back from Wimbledon, so will be giving the trek to Bristol a miss I think.

Decidedly less than impressed that they said they would give away tickets as a prize, but then didn't, but that's by the by anyway. https://www.facebook.com/grillstockBBQ/ ... 3217420176

Hope you all had/have a good time.

I personally had a great time despite the soaking on Saturday. The event seemed busier this year to me, plus there seemed to be more interaction between the competing teams and the attendees. Stuffed myself silly on some of the concessions.

No worries Toby. The five adults judging are very capable of enjoying a glass of wine with their BBQ. I'm amazed a European would question that :)

Grillstock is a fresh approach on how to run a BBQ cook-off guided by a guy with 30 years experience and it worked very well. The winners all seemed pretty solid to me and everyone had a great time.
