6 in the box, so fairly good value given the quality.

if I could guarantee being in or worked from home Id still go for the ribs I've had from devonrose. £2.37 a rack of baby racks.Plenty of meat.
Failing that I'm going for the semi meaty. My standard Chinese box weren't individually wrapped and were a pain to separate.

If you're a member from one bookers, can you go to another?

Yes. Same with Costco - worldwide. I have used my Costco membership in the us.

ok figured Id have to post something.
Having a right nightmare with these Booker ribs. Friends have been asking for a few racks so I went and got some of the extra meaty ones. Works out at 6 quid a rack, but they are big.
Problem seems to be they're mostly made of fat. Ive cooked them as long as I dare before they go black and there's still great lumps of wobbly fat all through them.. Not impressed.
Think I'll stick to what I know next time.

Here's my tuppence on the meaty rib box

I did a load of ribs for people at work this weekend and they said they wanted meaty ribs. Now I've had the £19 and the £22 boxes of ribs from Bookers and although I think perfectly acceptable (I got between 8-10 racks of ribs) I thought I'd go for the next step up and go for the £30 box to feed these masses, after all they'll be similar just a little meatier right, right???

No, holy crap NO

When I opened the box there were 4 vacuum packed bags 3 very large ones (full length ribs) one smaller (but in no way small with a half length rack).

I thought the bigger ones had two or three racks packed together, how wrong was I? The box contined 3 and a bit racks of ribs, the full ones were 3kg EACH

EACH!!!

I've never seen a rack of ribs that big, anyway, I went back and bought the middle sized box to do for the people at work which means I have to eat the monster ribs myself, oh well

There is a fair amount of fat on them, so I trimmed it off and there is a muscle over the top side of the ribs which means a layer of connecting fat between them but I found it was well worth leaving that extra bit of meat on there and just scrape the fat off when you come to eat it, it moves like partially melted butter once cooked so it's not hard to remove.

One monster rack I rubbed and put in the biggest roasting pan we have, which involved lots of folding and tucking, and put a cup of water in the bottom and foiled it over and did it in the oven for 12 hours on 120c and then rested for 1.5 hours. Three ribs and a side was enough for me, the ball n chain and my sister and she took the rest home for my dad.

The others got rubbed and went on the smoker last night for 4 hours and then in the over at 100c over night for a total of 12 hours and this morning they looked and smelled amazing (and somehow a large chunk or two fell off so I had to try it and it tasted amazing too).

So basically, this was just to inform you, the people, of the actual size of the things in the big box. It's a public service announcement, I do this stuff so you guys don't have too

Wow, very meaty indeed!

Might need a bigger smoker for those!

You could get four of those on a 57cm grill, as long as you have a decent domed lid, it will require some folding and tucking of the meat but they'd go on there :D

Are those the ones labelled as 'meaty ribs''? I normally get the 'German' ribs at 21.99. Never had the standard ribs - how do they compare?
