Toby, I think getting Lee to book a hotel room is a start, he will probably not want to leave once he is in the field so good plan.
Clair,
Option 1, Book a Hotel Room but pack a tent (just for your daytime needs (Nudge nudge wink wink)), cancel the Hotel, make a fuss when you turn up to check in and they say there is no booking. Then say in a meaningful way "Oh well, at least we brought the tent" head back to the field.
Option 2, Drug him like BA Baraccus (You aint gettin' me in no tent fool!"

Toby - you hit the nail right on the head, if he had all the luxuries he would be happy to compete - maybe we can work on the luxuries for next year
BTW he said your sofa looked quite comfy
Believe me i am working on him, of course we are a bag of nerves on the cooking front, but you gotta be in it to win it
Of course we don't drink so that wont help him............

I can't think of a worse type of holiday than camping to be honest. But I wouldn't miss being in Toby's field in May with all of my new BBQ mates chilling, eating, drinking and having a great time for anything. We have already turned down catering for a wedding for May, and a 40th birthday for August!

What's up with y'all? Don't like camping! There ain't nothing better than sitting out under the stars with good friends, a few drinks and the waft of wood smoke all around.....Southern Shandy drinking softies.....LOL.....very fickin loud!
