Re: New Competitors Q&A
The bigest problem for the judges previously was having their taste buds destroyed by some fairly spicy sauces, this issue has now been addressed[/quote]
It was all part of my evil plan to make everybody elses food taste bland after my sauce.I guess that means I'm gonna have to enter some seriously hot jerk chicken as I can no longer stitch up the judges with my chipotle BBQ sauce.
Only joking!

It's watching Pit Masters and Jamie Geer put cayenne on the ribs that does it. I did consider getting some capsaicin extract for this year. Do the judges sign liability waivers?

Re: New Competitors Q&A
If we cook a whole chicken, how do you present this to the judges - sliced, shredded, with a sauce ??
Is there a right or wrong way??

If you cook a whole chicken you need to provide enough for 6 judges, so with 1 chicken you will not be able to use thighs, legs unless you cook 3 chickens. best not to shred the breast but slice it, although you will have the problme of it drying out between hand in and judging, for your first comp i would suggest sticking to thighsMrBlue wrote:If we cook a whole chicken, how do you present this to the judges - sliced, shredded, with a sauce ??Is there a right or wrong way??
