Nah I got the memo, but I only use lump and would never endorse something I don't use.

Don't i know it The upkeep of these sites plus the other projects that are ongoing sometimes take up a little too much time. But hey, my time and skills are what I can give so I'm happy to do it.

How long ago did you stop using heat Beads?

Never really have used them consistently Al. I will happily use them for grilling but i don't do much grilling. I've used them from time to time on a smoker and I honestly think they're great for briquettes.

I prefer to use lump though, purely because it's an all natural product, it's a personal taste thing. I will quite happily recommend them for grilling and tell people they're some of the best briquettes I've used. Hell, I've made those statements on this forum many times, but always with the caveat that I'm a lump lover

Thanks for everyones feedback on webber brickets, as a result, I will not be buying these and I will stick to Heat beads. As the garden center that was selling webber is local, I thought I could save on p&p, but it seems that to get beter quality, you need to pay for it. Dont get me wrong, I'm not a skinflint. But you always want to get the best price for your money.

I really can't recommend using lump over briquettes - I find it leaves now fould tastes or anything and when bought at a good price it is pretty close to the price of super market briquette prices (£/kg)
