Holland's pies are from Lancashire. Bangers of Baker Street in Brighton bake and sell on the premises excellent pies both sweet and savoury.stretchie_ wrote:Hollands?joker smoker wrote:AND THE BEST PIES SOUTH OF LANCASHIRE!![]()

I'm a Manc but live in Wiltshire and all you get down here is pukka pies with horrible flacky fall apart pastry.
However, I can now get Hollands Meat pies, Potato and Meat pies and more importantly Steak and Kdney puddings from my local Sainsbury's, I'm just waiting for the Chicken Mushroom pies to migrate down here and I'll be a happy bunny.
All I need to do now is teach these guys how to make a decent kebab using naan bread instead of pitta bread

Re: JAPANESE BBQ
Not quite Japanese BBQ
But New Malden off the A3 into London is full of Korean BBQ restaurants. It's known locally as Little Korea as theres a whole community settled here. Even at the train station entrance the food is good.
They have these Butcher-BBQ combo restaurants. So you get to cook fresh raw meat at your table.
Really good & very healthy.
I absolutely love this gem of a place.

Hmmm
No not really, those places were 'orrible.
Authentic Korean BBQ Butcher restaurants are very different.

sorry for going off topic a little here...
Keith i just noticed Coast to Coast have openend up in Newcastle aswell and it just so happens the Mrs and I are going shopping there on Saturday so it maybe a port of call for lunch. The menu looks ok for a bite to eat. I will report my findings if we do try them out.
