Don't think it ever got followed up on. If there is enough interest, 10+ then we should give it a go

I contacted them for another forum member and the price was as advertised, no harm in trying again if there was 10 required.

Even if we don't get a big discount you will save on shipping so worth looking in to, that is unless we can swing a Stoker group buy ;)

I don't know the price of the Stoker, but at $139 I'd be up for an iQue

Just to let anyone know that I recently aquired one of these and once you get used to the device they are worth just over £100. There seens to be a difference in using lumpwood and brickets, as lumpwood runs hotter and takes at bit to calm down. Been using it all day, taking readings and was glad to say that I had a constant temp for 7 hours.

Regards

A basic Stoker system will set you back $295 to $365 depending on the size of the smoker, the major advantage of a Stoker over the iQue besides web based control etc... is the ability to both monitor the meat temperature and set it to hold once your chosen temperature is reached a real bonus if you need to get on with other things besides BBQ

Undecided about grillstock, It's not that I don't want to, it's about getting time away from work. Went to grillstock last year and I thought it was a great event.

The first time I used the IQ I used lumpwood and it was running too hot. :o Because I had food in the Pro Q, I had to turn off the IQ. so latley I've been teasting the device without any food. :geek: ( I know, I live a exciting life ) :geek: Yesterday I used the menion method and had lumpwood in the chimmney starter and heatbeads in the basket. To me, that seems to be the best method. :) :) :) :)

With the iQue the minion method is a must, if you're finding temps are running away you need to try less lit to begin with and get the iQue controlling things ASAP. I find the BGE method works really well with the iQue so maybe give that a go if you want to use lump.
