Congratulations. You should be proud of that, it makes all the hard work worth it.

Nice review, I'd be well chuffed it that was my food being talked about.
So from central Brighton what bus do I need to get there?

Re: Introducing BBQ Shack
It's easily walkable. From the city centre, take a pleasant stroll through the North Laines (shops, pubs and cafes galore), until you reach Trafalgar Street, turn right and walk downhill (away from the Station), until you come out onto Preston Road. Then turn left, and follow the road (more shops) for about 10 minutes. If you get to Preston Circus (5 way cross roads, with a fire station and cinema on two of the corners), you've gone 5 minutes too far.
Jay Raynor exagerated it's out-of-town-ness to a laughable degree, in my opinion - it's slightly more than a mile from the main shops at Churchill Square. I'm the wrong side of 20 stone, and I was walking twice that distance into town several times a day (and back, and around), when I visited the city last year. (I was staying out by Preston Park).
It's amazing that I can tell you all this, but still not remember seeing the pub when walking past!
However to answer your question, virtually any bus going out towards Preston Park, Falmer, or Lewes should do the trick.

No worries, I am actually driving down from Lincolnshire on the Monday, so I'll probably be catching lunch on the road that day.

Re: Introducing BBQ Shack
I had a great time in Brighton, and it was good to meet up with John at the World's End and have a chat.
Food was excellent - I went for the chopped ribs and an armadillo egg, and it was truly impressive.
