Double Jack Rump

Good old British Beef, you can't beat it! Of course Brisket is the American BBQ favorite but recipes for any cut are welcome here.

Double Jack Rump

OK, So this is expensive but good (and I do not like JD or any bourbon or whisky).
I've used rump here but I reckon onglet would be even better.

Jack Daniels
Rump Steaks
Jack Daniels Soaked Barrel Chips

Marinate the steaks and the already soaked wood chips in JD overnight

Heat your grill for hot, indirect cooking

Dig out the steaks and strain the wood chips - save the JD

Chuck the woodchips onto the charcoal and put the steaks on the opposite side of the grill to take on smoke

When the smoke has finished (should be only a couple of mins) move the steaks over the hot charcoal to sear up

Flip the steaks and pour the JD marinade over the steaks...watch it go up like prices at Christmas

Shout "WooHoo!!! Look at that Sh*t!"

Remove the steaks and rest as usual

Serve

LOL

Mine would be slightly different ;) :

"Marinate the liver and pancreas in JD overnight

Heat your grill for hot, indirect cooking

Dig out the steaks and wood chips - drink a little more JD

Chuck the woodchips onto the charcoal and put the steaks on the opposite side of the grill to take on smoke

When the smoke has finished (should be only a couple of mins) move the steaks over the hot charcoal to sear up

Flip the steaks and drink more JD, throw some on the steaks...watch your apron go up in smoke like prices at Christmas

Shout "WooHoo!!! Look at that Sh*t!"

Remove the steaks and burnt apron. Drinkl a little more JD

Serve"
