Hi guys I have been doing a few events recently however when starting up in the morning I am annoying my surrounding traders as my charcoal BBQ has a lot of smoke coming from it. I have smokeless coals that a local Turkish restaurant uses inside so I know that it's probably not that but the lighter fluid. Can anyone help.

Might be worth investing in a loof lighter or a small one burner camping gas stove, this will guarantee your charcoal lights, the fuel is clean and there is no risk of residues as there is with the lighter fluid.
Most charcoal smokes a fair bit when lighting up even if it then burns smokeless, where are you out and about next?
Cheers

If you want a clean burning fire starter, try using a tin of chaffing fuel.
