offset smoker

Postby jaywest » 24 Apr 2015, 15:01

Hi, browsing through the forum as well as online looking for a decent offset smoker available in uk. Iv used a horizontal barrel and smoked quality cuts over the years. Im now looking upgrade to something better in the offset range. Why offset ? Well for me the joy of smoking is to sit chill have cpl beers with friends n family and the whole pit experience. Temperature management never been an issue with me. Im just looking feedback or suggestions from anyone in uk about products available. Only one that has caught my interest recently has been the grand tennessee from landman. Iv also seen the smoking joes available as well tho at that price I can get a yoder delivered to my door for about £ 200 less. Anyone have any opinions on other offset smokers. Please dont suggest vertical smokers iv used them but I just dont like them. Any info be greatly appreciated. Gota say tho im swaying towarfd the yoder. Granted price is high but I smoke at least once a week during winter and during summer months 2 3 times a week.
Thanks
Jay

Don't waste your money on a cheap offset, and don't buy one unless you've access to loads of wood - running them with charcoal is just throwing your money away. It'll be a different beast to a horizontal barrel.

I've ordered a Yoder Loaded Wichita, should be here in about 10 days. Yoder were really good to deal with, and I did a lot of research before opting to buy from them.

I would definitely recommend Yoder. I do own one and cannot be more happy. Worth the money and is going to last a lifetime. If you need more info please let me know (I'm importing them into UK)

Hi

A Loaded Whicita from the US is $1894 (basic $1599) but you will have to pay shipping, VAT and import duties to get it here but I don't know what the final price would be.
