Bulk rib, brisket and boston butt pack at meatpacks

Post by noxskuses »

Meatpacks have added belly ribs and baby back ribs to the Bulk Order page and they said they would also be adding Flat Brisket & Boston Butts as well soon.

See them at http://www.meatpacks.co.uk/BulkOrders

I think it was Steve from jediswinetricks that said their ribs were good quality.

First time I've ever seen it called Boston Butt in this country >> http://www.meatpacks.co.uk/Pork/BostonButt

Nice to see a butcher with a clue.

Says 2.75kg for a brisket flat - sounds a bit light to me, or is that just how they are in the UK?

I have been buying belly and spare ribs, wings and brisket from these guys since the start of the year and would recommend them without hesitation. They are always very helpful and have taken a real interest in the BBQ world (hence the 'boston butt'). I currently run a BarBQ restaurant and have exactly standards and these guys have never let me down.

The baby backs are a bit pricey - do they have a fair bit of meat on them?

Just a little rich for a frozen product, Devon rose sell them £2.49 per rack and they will come fresh. But ask them to leave them whole as found out once :D

You get two racks in a pack, they are better quality than anything I've had from a supermarket or Costco baby backs. I did a quick appraisal on the topic "Proper Meaty Ribs" (search meatpackers) my laptop is playing up so I can't post a link.
