I'll be having a good look at them in a couple of weeks when we're over in Nashville for a contest. I know one of the teams that is competing moved away from Backwoods smokers onto these so i'll be interested to hear what they say about the differences between the two.

Ed, I was looking at the G2 chubby now I thought I could get a couple more spare rib joints in the battle box. But I do like the weight of the G2 chubby.. now if you reckon they hold the same you got me thinking again.

Well After getting fed up with waiting for a response from Humphreys, I was lucky and found a great BBQ store that had a G2 Chubby in stock,She turned up yesterday, fine looking cooker, well built but not as mobile as I thought ;)

Came in all shipped and taxed just under £1500 so happy with that. Was flew over and dropped off at my house so no hassle with the shipping.
Would post some pics but my drivers playing up.

Seen the new Humpheys "The B.A.S" cooker if only they was not such a pita with emails, but still thinking I may get one next but who knows 8-)

That doesn't sound like bad value to me! Pretty impressive considering how far it's come. I'd imagine it does much better than something like a big green egg which'll run you about the same!

Where did you buy it from in the end?

St Louis BBQ store, A chap called Ron sorted it out for me.

Here is a link for them, funny enough they have plenty of Humphreys in stock this week but I am more than happy with the G2 chubby! Just cant wait to get it lit up and see how it runs.
