BBQ build begins

Post by Nagaburns »

Hi Guys
There is no inventors corner anymore so if there is a specific place for this post can one of the mods move it for me please.

Last weekend I started to build my smoker after talking about it for ages. I had to stop because of a gas shortage  but after a couple of lates after work I've got the chute, firebox and ashbox done.

My steel supplier forgot to place my special order ;) for the rest of my steel so I haven't added to it this weekend, I'm saving my energy for next weekend :D

When it's all finished it will be a gravity feed like a Stumps or Superior, click on the link below to see the pics :D
I hope to take it to some of the comps this year so you'll get to see it in person if you can make it along.

Smoker Build

All the best,

Lee

Aww, no images! :(

I'd love to learn how to work with metal and build my own Smoker, but not a clue where to start! I have grand dreams of building my own big steel keg :)

Im going to attempt to build a smoker. Been looking at stick welders and plasma cutters to do it properly. Theres something really exciting about thinking up what you want. Researching how to do it see other peoples mistakes andbthen drawing up your own plans. I cant wait. I lookk forward to seeing your work

Hi Toby

Yes the build is finished and I got her home on Saturday just gone. If anyone is interested in building one themselves I'd be happy to answer any questions ;)

There is a thread following the build with pictures here at Smokerbuilder

I need to get some cooking done now :D

All the best,

Lee
