Hi all
Done my first ever smoke on the frontier yesterday.
I done 8 racks of ribs coated with a little Memphis style rub and jackdaniels original no7 recipe sauce and they where amazing.
I used the 3-2-1 method but had to leave them in for an extra hour because I was struggling to get it to go over 200f. I think it might have been the briquettes I was using as I had all vents fully open. But I was very impressed that the frontier stayed steady on the heat for hours.
Sorry I didn't take any pics but I can say they are some of the best damn ribs I've ever had.

Re: First smoke on the pro q frontier
Congrats on your first smoke. If your pro q is anything like mine it should improve after a few smokes and built up a nice layer.
You'll just have to do more ribs now so we can see the pics

Only clean the grills. Don't clean the inside of the BBQ, you want a resin to build up which will plug any small gaps in the smoker.
For cleaning the grills i normally take them off and brush them down with a screwed up piece of tin foil, this does a great job and means now need to keep on buying grill brushes.

Oh that's excellent so I don't have to actually clean it, this is great the grills I can handle but the inside was looking to be a right nightmear
Cheers guys you've made my day
