Anybody tried everburning charcoal?

Just seen them and prices look great.

Ordered 30KG of restaurant grade charcoal for £33 delivered. We will see what its like and post up here cos if its good, we all need to be using it, and if its shit .. everybody needs to know.

Keen to know what it's like as I don't like the stuff I've got from Booker so looking out for another supply.

Its arrived.

Larger chunks than normal (I think thats why its 'restaurant' grade?)

Well my washing machine drum held about 3/4 of a bag.

Ran it yesterday for 7 hours @ 225 - 250 and it barely used 1/4 of the basket load, so about 20% of a bag (3kg ish).

Result.

Very stable temps and nice sized bits. Some larger than others but on the whole pretty even.

It arrived in Tuesday, I haven't had a chance to burn it yet but on initial inspection it looks good.

The supplier was excellent, the courier was a day late picking it up and it wouldn't get to me before Easter weekend so he phoned me up to check if I needed it for the weekend - I didn't but if I did he said he would drive it to me himself!

I guess you got this from ebay - i just spotted that they have a 20% sitewide discount on ebay until 10pm tonight! might be a good opportunity to stock up on some charcoal
