Great slideshow of Texas BBQuefest
Posted: 03 Nov 2010, 03:42Wanted to post this slideshow of a great BBQ festival recently held in Austin. It consisted of 20 of the top BBQ joints
(restaurants) out of the Texas Monthly top 50 BBQ . Samples were given out by all and peoples choice awards were given
in several categories-brisket, sausage,beef and pork ribs. The winner of the brisket was Snows BBQ, the #1 on the top 50
list. Snows is actually a lil store that only sells BBQ on Saturdays and they usually sell out before noon. The pitmaster is actually a 72 yr, old woman named Ms Tootsie. There are several pics of her in the slideshow.One of my favorites
Cousins -BBque won for sausage and beef ribs. They make a excellent homemade sausage. One of the sponsors of the event
was Shiner Beer, a small brewery that celebrated there 100 yr. anniversary.
