New WSM 37cm for 2014

Postby Swindon_Ed » 20 Aug 2013, 11:46

I've heard some stories over the last couple of weeks that Weber will be releasing a new mini WSM next year, and a website is now showing it.

One of the other new features that you can see on this small wsm which will also be added to all WSM's next year is the new thermometer probe hole.

It's not as cheap as I'd hoped!

But certainly makes sense from a size perspective (for me).

That's a stupid price. It's more than I paid for my 47cm WSM. Not totally sure who this is aimed at given that you would be hard pressed to fit a rack of ribs on it. Nice to see that they've finally introduced the grommet for a probe.

You've got to have the full set, I'm sure there is an empty space just waiting for it, or there will be soon ;)

Oh I'm in the I Want category, though I'm still trying to learn the difference between I Want and I Need (I'm told there is one) but that price is really putting me off

I want one as well :)

I think its an interesting product aimed at people who have watched manVfood and wanna have a go, realistically in a few months it will be ~£230 and you could get a bit of shoulder on the top and a bit of brisket on the bottom. There will be a new smaller babyback rib rack and a new probe soon to go with it.

Bringing smoking to the masses.

and i for one welcome our new insect overlords

Wonder if I will get a new one with the grommet in, here's hoping!

Damn, replacement middle arrived but knew before even opening the box that it wouldn't have the grommet given the layer of dust on the box.

That said, amazing customer service & could now double stack middles for space...unlikely though I will ever need to.

Still love the idea of the mini one though...

Just picked up a display model 47cm wsm from my local garden centre for £199. Perfect condition, no putting together so straight home for a quick beer can chicken!
