Hello from the Wild, Fylde West

Postby mcdodge » 01 Jan 2011, 16:10

I suppose I should say hello,

I'm Rog - I've been a passionate griller for the last year or so and have now got myself a Weber Smokey Mountain to go with the Weber kettle.

Really fancied doing some real BBQ stuff after having some great experiences with ribs, pulled pork and brisket whilst in the US.

I love the whole BBQ/grilling thing. I'm couped up inside 40 hours a week teaching kids, so BBQing is a chance for me ot have some quality outdoor time no matter the weather.

Thats my grill on the first use - it's now much dirtier!

That was my ribs and wings on New Years Eve Eve - the last BBQ of 2010

I've done a few butterfly chickens on the smoker, but started 2011 with a Brisket - the first I've ever cooked.

Was a great start, could have maybe done with longer but I was hungry!

Yum!

Now I just need some more smoking wood as I've run out of the Apple Wood I had
