I am an American that has been married to a Brit for 13 years. My wife grew up in the Harrow area. We spend most of our time in Lincolnshire when we get a chance to visit the UK.

I have been into cooking and grilling for a long time but have gotten into smoking/BBQ the past year or so. My addiction of BBQ started with the purchase of a Traeger Lil Tex (070) to go with my gasser. I have now expanded my arsenal to include a turkey/fish fryer and a Big Green Egg.

I enjoy food but mostly enjoy cooking food for friends and family. I am always trying to improve my recipes or put a new twist on a recipe. I finally found a good butcher that make a proper sausage like the ones in the UK. The standard American sausage isn’t as good as the UK sausage IMHO.

Happy Smoking!

Hello Chuck from yet another expat from the states.

I'm Tom from Florida. Married a Brit 12 years ago, we lived in the US and visited the UK until she said she wanted to do it the other way around. Now we are in Bournemouth and I am waiting for my Weber Smokey Mountain to arrive from home.

Welcome.

Yes lincolnshire is looking real nice for BBQ, maybe a competition should head our way?!?!?! me and my wife where treading on the idea of getting something going. We own a pub right next to a big camping site and many festivals are thrown around us.

Sounds great, I'm sure Toby would welcome someone taking the organising and cost of an event away from him for once!!
