UK Mini Road Trip

Postby Mc Slims BBQ » 18 Mar 2014, 20:39

Mc Slims BBQ team members have decided, in the name of research to go on a mini road trip in the UK to sample some BBQ.

We intend to meet at the pit cue co in london at midday this friday, have a spot of lunch and then on the road to bristol to have dinner at grilstock resturant on friday night. A quiet night in bristol...hopefully pop in to see simon at cyderpig then back to bristol to pick up a packed lunch from the grillstock stall in the market.

Finally drive back to london to have dinner at Barbacoa, i think by then we may had enough meat for 36 hours however if anyone can suggest any bbq stops on or near the way we are sure we can fit them in, all in the name of reserch however!

We will attemp to post pictures on our FB if anyone is interested.

If you want to keep to the meaty theme then you can't go wrong with a mixed grill (okay so its not BBQ) from the pub at the bottom of Simon's garden, then use the grillstock lunch for a snack on the way home.

If you haven't tried it I would go to Red Dog Saloon over Barbacoa every day of the week.

If you are in London I would look at the following spots besides Pitt Cue Co

- Smokehouse (different days have different recipes so check first)
- BBQ Whisky Beer - https://www.facebook.com/bbqwhisky
- Dukes Brew n Que - http://dukesbrewandque.com/

If you can make it to Shoreditch - You should be able to hit up SmokeStack
