Cast Iron Grate for Kettles

Postby Chris__M » 25 Sep 2010, 15:00

Browsing Youtube, I came across someone cooking on what appeared to be a Weber grill, but with a neat 4 section cast-iron grate. I decided to track it down, out of curiosity, and was delighted to see that - for once - it is something available in the UK, apparently from a german manufacturer.

As it happens, I am not going to buy one at this point - I'm about to go pellet, so am not going to buy anything new for my kettle for now - but I thought others might be interested in the grate and the optional griddle section.

(Apologies if this is something you guys already know about - I did do a quick search, but didn't spot anything)

Awesome,

I've seen these before but never realised that you could get them in the UK.

Great find. :D

That looks awesome. Does anyone know if they will fit the Excel20?

Not sure exactly what size the Excel20 is. To quote the website: "Our grates fit all available 22.5" and 18.5" kettle grills, i.e. Weber® Onetouch and Performer. The 18.5" fits large BGEs and kamados."

They also seem to be about to release a mini-grate for the Weber Smokey Joe.
