I've just come accross a new dual probe thermometer to rival the ET73 sold from within the UK with replacement probes available. More details will follow..

just got hold of one, looks a decent bit kit, spoke to Mack from Macs BBQ, the shippment has just got through customs.

That is very expensive, I would shop around first, think I paid about £35 for mine

I dug out my invoices for mine including the bill for import costs where I paid a couple of quid duty and parcel force charged a tenner for "admin"!!!!

I paid a total of £82 for two shipped in from Partshelf in the US. So not that much cheaper than the link above. If you know anyone going out to the US who can carry one back for you though it'll be much cheaper.

coming through customs with timers and wires usually attracts a great deal of interest ....be prepared to pay extra costs at customs

John, I used to work in the mobile phone industry developing protocol stack software. I had to travel around Europe a lot and was regularly stopped at customs carrying my laptop bag with a couple of laptops, test boards and mobile phones with wires hanging out of them. I'm surprised I never got shot because my bag looked like a bomb making kit :lol:

I brought two back in Easter with no problem. Bringing in another for my team mate John next Easter. Don't mind bringing another if someone wants one.
