I pmed the guy and he replied saying he just copied exactly the hinge on his large bge.

So i just need the exact dimensions of the parts thats made out of. And a load a tools, skill and some metal.

Looks like you have to buy the whole spring band assembly. I imagine it might be pricey, but worth it to hinge the lid IMHO :D

it burns a bit, because I don't need the bands or springs, and would be paying a load of money for a few bits of bent steel!

Still, I've spent more on less before I expect.
