Hi Steve,
I presume 'tight head' means enclosed with the screw cap thing? :?
If so then yes that will be the one I already have but the vertical one can be either because it has to be cut to a 'cradle shape of the barrel' , but probably open is best. I will take your advice (again :D ) and ask at a couple of garages.

Joined this thread late, but saw an earlier post about having a link to a site for working out the size requirements for a firebox. Do you still have this?

Just had a firebox made from a gas bottle - just got to fit it now

First run. Temp held 230 - 260 for four hours with one bag of heat beads is that good bad or average?
