July Points Chase Results, What a weekend!!!

Dear All

Firstly a big thank you to Toby and his wife for making us so welcome and putting on a great event. Secondly thank you to all the other competitors for making us newbies feel so welcome at our first event - a great atmosphere.

All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the weekend - next time we will come on friday night to ensure we get the big booze up out of the way before we start cooking and not try and combine the two on the Saturday evening!!

Unfortunately we are unable to make the event at the end of August but wil be getting the 2012 series in the dairy as soon as dates are released.

Well done to all the winners - looking forward to the judges comments and competing a little more seriously next year.

Well remembered Mr Ed. Hope you enjoyed the game today even if England went a bit flat in the 2nd half.

Si (the shorter Simon from Birmingham) and I are practising our ribs and chicken tonight. All looking good. If a little late putting it all on - due to an afternoon watching england v wales.

A big shame we can't make august gig.

We are definetly committed to next year - sorting out bank account and standing orders as i type. can anyone give me links for a good place for gazibos and tables?

Miss Piggy - Where did you and John get the big chest smokers from? i am sure you told me but I was 100% focussed on "cooking"!!

We got our gazebo from gazebo shop online (I think that's what it was called) the printing cost extra. Our tables were from macro. Ours and johns smokers were all ordered at the same time from superior smokers in the states. If you are interested let me know they might do you a deal.
