Explanation of Judging, I am suprised it wasnt clarified by a competitor in the other thread, Ray's description of the judging last week on radio central was very different to this, which is i believe where the rumors began.

"For clarification, every team had to use a standard 12" white plate for every turn-in. They were uniquely coded by our staff and then collected by our staff to be delivered to the judging table where the judges awaited. The codes were swapped for each round so at no point did the judges, or could they, know which plate was submitted by which team. Only two people (two organisers) had access to the sheet to decode the dishes" John Finch, Grillstock

I didn't see any evidence of marked plates other than post it notes stuck on them? Is there a concern things weren't quite fair?

People always question judging practice, and i was asked to clarify the Grillstock judging procedure by Jon. Some prefer a competition that is completely blind some prefer the judges interaction its just a matter of opinion.

I stand corrected on the Judging, it's still a format I don't care for. If they could come inline with BBBQS or KCBS and have overnighters then I would consider attending.

I saw a picture on the Grillstock FB page when i was looking at some the photo's from the event.

It wasn't that picture i saw but the one that's a couple back in your photobucket account.

If only these sandwiches were available on the high street, maybe you should get in touch with Subway for a job in product development

Not sure if you'll be able to see the link properly but basicly £1,000.00 prize for the winner with the sandwich hitting the stores early 2012.
