Having been one of the judges yesterday, I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the competitors, and well done.

There was some fantastic food to judge.

Congratulations particularly to BBQ Shack, and to Bunch of Swines for their respective awards.

Many Many thanks to Toby for organising a great weekend. No trophy this year :( but I reckon we've improved overall.
Thanks to Chris from Stick the kettle on for his help and advice. What a great bunch of people at Pit Masters.

See you all again.

Well done to everyone who won this weekend, and a big up to the Grand Champion joker smoker of BBQ Shack, what a great fella. Will be down to Brighton very soon.
Very glad with the results of chicken and sauce.

I would like to echo the sentiments above. It's a shame we have commitments on the Feastival weekend in July but we should still make the Pitmasters Event at the end of the same month.

Kate and Toby are becoming well versed in the organisation of these events and I reckon the events will just keep growing.

I would like to say a thank you to the teams that plied me with beer, I've still not finished the batch from Eddie and its not for the lack of trying.

Brilliantly organised Toby! We had a great time. Big respect to our neighbours Bunch of Swine, and double apologies for getting your name wrong all weekend, Ed - I am very embarrassed about that.

Also, thanks so much to everyone competing for making us feel so welcome. Particular thanks to Yeti, Scott, Clint, Bev and everyone on that side of the field for not just tolerating, but actively encouraging the ukulele!

We can't make any of the other competitions this year, but I think we need to work on our technique anyway, so we'll certainly be back next year for Mayhem in May.
