Looks like this will have to do for the bbq...

Anyone got any experience with the things?

was going to go for the indirect method but any suggestions about what to cook on the 'direct' side?

I tried some Costco (Kirkland) Steak Burgers ... Frozen and pretty cheap, they come in bags of 20 and tasted better than the Wagyu burgers I mentioned before!!!

If you have a Costco near you, try those, they even cook nicely from frozen if you happen to have forgotten to defrost them (oops) :D

As an alternative you could knock up some home made burgers. There is no "one" good recipe for homemade burgers... They're all good!!!

If I'm doing a - burgers and sausages cook- indirect, I only use the top of the coals to sear my finished product. I find 20(ish) mins of putting em on and leaving it, finished with 5 mins of searing, flipping and hissing produces a great chargrill finish, allows adequate socialising and some impresssive foreplay to top it all off. A great meal and lots of impressed onlookers.
