Big Joe Not Sealing

Postby Dduffs71 » 30 Mar 2016, 09:39

Hi All - I have added a very nearly new Big Joe to my collection (also have a classic stand alone Joe). The Big Joe has only been used on 2 occasions ans is clear to see it is nearly new. However I had to transport it on its side in the back of my car due to the size! Upon getting it home and placing in the stand, I noticed that the rear of the lid does not sit flush on to the base gasket and I can clearly see day light through the rear when the lid is closed. The top/bottom bands seem to be fine and I did not know if there is anything else I can try to solve the issue?? Any pointers will be greatly received :?

Do you think that the bracket for the lid may have bent?

Only thing I could suggest is loosen the top band off and seat the lid properly then tighten the bands back up and see if it stay in place. If not then something might have become bent in transport and I suspect you'll need to contact KJ to get something replaced.
