Because the app checks less frequently it tends to just show the set point, not sure it matters that much......

Hi Tiny,

I only noticed because it was 25f different and the gmg never changes at all.

It's quite a small difference in the grand scheme of things, only 4C. Also, at that temp it only goes up in 5 degrees.

Just wanted to check that the reading was supposed to be live.

Thanks for the reply.

I've just finished a long cook on the DB and was about to cover it up. I checked all around the body to make sure it was cool enough. I don't normally check underneath but thought I would just in case. To my shock I found flakes of paint in my hand!

I then crawled underneath to look and found this:

I don't know if this has been like it a while or just after this long cook.

It's only on one side which is weird.

So, my question is, has anyone else had or heard of this?

I wouldn't have even known had I not checked the temp. The rest of the bodywork seems fine. I've not checked the inside yet as it started to spit so I covered up quick.

Needless to say I'm a bit gutted, I've only used it 4 or 5 times!

I've mailed ABBQ about this, so fingers crossed it will get sorted fairly soon.
