I use the Big K restaurant grade charcoal which I get from outdoor gourmet. Great guys, very helpful and £15 for 15Kg. Had one dodgy bag with small lumps, but on the whole very pleased with it. They also sell Bulworthy Project charcoal. No association, just a happy customer:

Interesting but Makro restaurant grade at a tenner plus vat for 12kg works for me :)

Yes that's what I always use. It's even cheaper near the end of the season. Big lumps nearly to the bottom. Infact I end up breaking some up as too big!

Sounds good, but living on Dartmoor I don't have a Makro anywhere near me.
