What a great day I've had!
Wanted to test my new stoker design and thought I'd also try out using using lumpwod for low and slow at the same time.
Was a bit of a gamble but couldn't bring myslef to waste the time (or charcoal) so thought I'd try another first and make a fatty.
Well it was 100% success!
The stoker was great. 109C for about 98% of the time only dipping to 108C every 10 minutes for about 2 minutes. Very occassional dip to 107C, about twice in 3 and a half hours. VERY pleased.
Was a bit worried about the stability using restaurant grade lump but no problem at all. Thanks Yetidave!
Did my first fatty too and OMFG. How can such a simple thing taste soooo good?:)
On the downside I've nearly eaten the whole thing on my own!
