I bought some stunning laguiole steak knives recently but am yet to use them mainly because they are smooth blades (not serrated) and I have heard that using them on wood is way better for them then on regular plates.
So question : could I use smoking planks to serve steak and meat on? How thick are the planks typically? Or would I be better off with some cheap wooden cutting boards? Maybe from tk maxx or the like.
