As title says - keep being told by the South Africans at work that I need a Rotisserie, so, does
anyone have one for sale to fit a Weber 57CM? Or is there a compatible one that does not cost
the earth?

Weber do one but it's not cheap http://www.wowbbq.co.uk/products/weber- ... 22274.html

Alternatively you could buy a stacker (something like this http://www.barbecuestacker.com), and then adapt it yourself to take something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/broil-master®-BBQG04-ZBH-02-Rotisserie-Spit-Grill/dp/B008YA34OW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1420278023&sr=8-4&keywords=bbq+rotisserie+spit

Still not cheap, but cheaper than the Weber one with the added benefit that you'll be able to use your kettle as a smoker :D

Finally, rotisserie systems do come up on e-bay from time to time.

There's no question the Weber Rotisserie is not cheap but after trying out an alternate for my Spirit Gasser I ended up getting the Weber one. The alternate was about 1/2 the price but in my opinion was far too noisy which would have been annoying when sitting by the BBQ with guests and chatting. Just something to be aware of and see if you can see in action before you buy.

I love cooking with the Rotisserie as Lamb and Chicken come off great.

The Rotisserie for the Charcoal BBQ works out particularly expensive as you need the additional spacer ring to support the Rotisserie and give you the capacity. So unless you make your own spacer I don't think any option will be cheap.

As BMW says keep an eye on eBay or the other BBQ forums.

If Weber could reduce the cost then they would sell lots of these and probably make as much money overall due to volume of sales. It's one of the most desirable accessories but least purchased because of the cost.
